Phone Systems for Schools

Schools and Colleges

Introduction

Corporate ICT specialises in the education sector and we understand the individual requirements of the school environment. The systems we recommend have been designed with specific features in mind, which make a school’s ability to communicate internally and externally as efficient and straightforward as possible. These features include:

  • Auto-attendant facility on main number with ‘pupil absence’ reporting option, so that parents can leave messages about absences easily.

  • Direct dialling to key extensions which bypasses reception, making access to required staff member easier for the caller and also reducing the workload for reception staff.

  • Voicemail for all teachers and extension users, plus multiple mailbox display on a single handset for applications such as:

- a teacher’s mailbox in the staffroom which indicates messages have been left for specific staff members

- a dedicated absence mailbox

  • Complex call barring options.

  • Multiple levels of service for situations such as daytime, outside of normal school hours, holiday periods, lunchtimes and so on.

  • ISDN2/30 lines with direct dialling feature as a separate group to main number, to avoid call bottlenecks on reception

  • The ability for reception to transfer a call directly into a specific staff member’s mailbox.

  • One touch ‘call record on demand’ to voicemail, useful for recording complex messages from parents and calls which are, or may become, abusive.

  • Wireless handsets for staff who are constantly mobile around the premises.

  • Capacity which is scalable from 4 to 400 extensions, allowing room for expansion without the need to replace the communications system.

  • Voice over IP (VoIP) functionality which allows staff who are working remotely or from home to make and receive calls on school numbers.

  • VoIP also gives the ability to use ‘soft phones’ on classroom PCs if required as an alternative to having handsets in each classroom.

As well as providing the best systems for schools, we are also able to offer the highest level of service and support because we really do understand the specific requirements of the education sector. But when it comes to telling you why you should choose to work with Corporate ICT, we think our customers say it best . . .

Haggerston School

A thriving and successful community girl’s school in the Borough of Hackney which is also a specialist Science, Maths and Technology College. Alan Ives, the school’s Business Manager, told us:

“Corporate ICT seemed interested in the school and were very supportive, something which has proved to be the case ever since. They handled everything efficiently and were very proactive. Their ongoing support has been excellent.”

Weald Middle School

Based in Harrow. this middle school looks after the education of 8 to 12 year olds and currently has 340 pupils. Head Teacher Michael Curtin had this to say about his decision to work with Corporate ICT:

“What really swung it was the recommendations from the other local schools. Once you get reassurance from another Head Teacher that’s all you need. Corporate set up everything exactly as we wanted it and did not leave until we were happy.”

Perins School

This is a thriving mixed comprehensive school for 11 to 16 year olds which is located in the small market town of Alresford in Hampshire. The school’s finance Manager Phil Burridge recently commented:

“We were very happy with the service that Corporate provided, and are now providing on an ongoing basis. If any other school is looking for a telecoms provider, I’d say that they are definitely worth talking to.”
