IP SIP

An IP SIP service, or a SIP Trunk, is a phone connection which is carried via the Internet over a connection such as Broadband or Leased Line. The key benefit of this solution is that you can have a range of geographic numbers which can terminate wherever you like - so you can publish ‘local’ numbers that can be routed anywhere, but without any call divert charges.

For example, a courier company with offices in 10 major cities throughout the UK could have 10 separate geographical numbers, all of which come in to the same contact centre in London. The benefit being the ability to publish a local number in each city - but without any of the inherent mistrust which has grown up more recently around the use of non-geographic numbering, which incurs an additional cost to the customer.

And of course, when moving premises, there are no issues at all with having to change phone numbers if you move out of a specific exchange area. In fact, you could move from Scotland to Cornwall and it wouldn’t make any difference! It’s a totally flexible solution that offers genuine business benefits.
