Corporate ICT in the top 1% at the London Marathon!
London – 29th April 2008: Corporate ICT are proud to announce that Chris Mowle, one of their Sales Consultants, successfully completed the 2008 Flora London Marathon on 13th April in 322nd place. Not only that, but in the process he also raised in excess of £3,000 for Cancer Research.
This year’s London Marathon was the third biggest since it began in 1981, with more than 34,000 people completing the race. So Chris’s placing of 322 puts him well into the top 1% of finishers, a very impressive result we’re sure you will agree!
The race winner, who also came first in 2005 and 2007, completed the 26 mile run in just over two hours and five minutes, so Chris’s time of two hours, 45 minutes and 18 seconds - just over 40 minutes longer - is a serious achievement.
Nick Wright, Managing Director of Corporate ICT, commented, “As a company Corporate ICT is always very pleased to support staff who take part in these types of sponsored activities. We are extremely proud of Chris and of his achievement and the fact that he has also raised so much money for such a vital charity is also very impressive. We will have to see if we can encourage a few more of our staff to participate next year!”
New Starters
Corporate ICT’s organic growth has led to the need to increase headcount. In line with our policy of employing high quality candidates the following new members of staff are announced:
Firstly, Russell Whitehouse who has joined the Technical Services team as an Installation Engineer. Russell is an experienced engineer trained in the Samsung range and was last employed by another Samsung Platinum Accredited Dealer and he's just made a move to the Kings Cross area.
Joining shortly is Katie Hill who will be an Administrative Assistant working closely with both Helene Kennar in Finance and Admin and Janet Bowerman in Network Services. Katie is making the long journey from upstairs where she has worked at Principal for over three years.
And last (but not least), we will be welcoming Lee Lambert to the Technical Services Team as Technical Services Supervisor with specific responsibility for the supervision of the Project Management Team and Installation Engineers. Many of you will be familiar with Lee as he has worked for many years at Samsung Telecoms and most recently at Service Direct. Lee brings with him a wealth of industry experience and will assist us still further in continuing to build upon the excellent customer service that we have achieved to date.
We wish them all a long and successful career at Corporate ICT.
Ex Samsung Managing Director joins Corporate ICT
London – 5th March 2008: Corporate ICT announces that it has appointed Nigel Russell as non-executive Chairman. Nigel has worked in fixed and mobile telecommunications since 1989 and held Board level positions with Securicor Communications, Samsung, Service Direct and Eurotel.
As Managing Director of Securicor Communications he managed the very successful launch of the Samsung range of telephone systems and data networking products into Europe. He then became MD of Samsung Telecoms, before subsequently moving to
Eurotel Ltd to manage their national operations and business acquisition programme.
On his appointment, Nigel stated, “Corporate ICT are a very long-established telecoms company in North London, which is founded on providing total network and telephony solutions based on the highest levels of customer service. It is a pleasure to be part of an experienced management team that is very focused on business growth.”
