Invu joins BASDA - the voice of the software applications industry

Invu - the leading provider of electronic document management (EDM) software for small and medium sized enterprises - has become the latest member of the internationally recognised Business Application Software Developers Association (BASDA).

In an increasingly frenetic business environment, instant access to information is not just an advantage but a necessity. EDM is increasingly recognised as a way for large and small firms to cut storage costs and information retrieval time and improve customer service.

Jon Halestrap, Invu's Director of Sales & Marketing, commented on the significant benefits of BASDA membership. "We are pleased to be a part of this important and influential association which represents such a wide range of the world's top developers across a broad range of vertical markets", he said. "This is one of several recent accolades we have had this year and is an indication of the increasing trend towards implementing EDM solutions."

"We are particularly looking forward to being directly involved with initiatives and participating in the development of industry best practice, for which BASDA is so well respected."

Dennis Keeling, CEO of BASDA, commented; "BASDA is delighted to welcome Invu as a Member. As technology becomes ever more powerful and compliance continues to be a major issue for businesses all over the world, it is increasingly important for software providers to work together to develop and maintain the standards that customers require. "

"As a BASDA Member, Invu has access to the extensive BASDA Knowledgebase of standards and development support which has been created by our Members working together to improve software quality worldwide."

About BASDA

BASDA, the Business Application Software Developers Association, represents more than 250 of the world's leading applications software developers and is the acknowledged voice of the software applications industry. It is recognised by the European Commission, the UK Government and the United Nations.

Since Dennis Keeling founded BASDA in 1993, the organisation has gone from strength to strength in terms of achievement and membership. The association was formed from a core group of developers, who realised that the software industry needed a representative body.

Members now include Human Resources, Accounting, Taxation, Payroll, Logistics, Manufacturing and web-based application developers. It is a not-for-profit, self-funding institution that is dedicated to acting on behalf of its members.

Based in the UK, BASDA is an international organisation with many members from overseas. The majority are software developers; although companies with an interest in the business software industry may join as associate members. BASDA's governing body is its General Council - a group of 12 elected representatives from member companies, who are drawn from all sectors of the business software market. Each BASDA member, whether large or small, has an equal voice in determining the future direction and development of the association.
